ACC Exam Pattern & Syllabus

EXAM PATTERN

Paper is divided into four parts :

PAPER 1 General Mental ability test (GMAT):

This paper is divided into three sections

SECTION NO OF QUESTIONS MARKS
1.        Reasoning Ability (Verbal) 75 150
2.         Non – verbal Reasoning 15 30
3.       Numerical Ability 60 120
  • Each question carry 2 marks.
  • All questions are MCQ type.

PAPER 2 Current & General awareness test (CGAT) :

This paper contains only one section.

SECTION NO. OF QUESTIONS MARKS
1.CURRENT GENERAL AWARENESS 150 300
  • Each question carry two marks.
  • syllabus designed in such a way to test mental ability, current general situational and military awareness.
  • All  questions are MCQ type.

PAPER 3 Interactive Communicative English (ICE) :

This paper is further divided into two papers

NO. OF QUESTIONS MARKS
PAPER A 120 120
PAPER B 90 180
  • Paper one will be of 1 hr & Paper two will be of 2 hrs.
  • paper A is of MCQ type & paper B is of descriptive type.

PAPER 4 Academic Content Test (ACT) :

There is only one paper which will cover Mathematics, General Science and Humanities.

It consist of three sections .

For NUMERICAL ABILITY Test –

questions for this section is of such type to test candidate capability to apprehend , understand & calculate day to day problems quickly.

PAPER 2 :

It will consist of topics related general awareness such as :

  1. India
  2. World
  3. General polity
  4. Economics
  5. General Science
  6. Sports
  7. Arts , Culture & Literature
  8. Eminent personalities
  9. Armed forces

PAPER 3 –

paper A cover topic such as :

  1. Spotting errors
  2. Correcting Errors
  3. Direct & Indirect narration
  4. Vocabulary test
  5. Spelling test
  6. Cloze test
  7. Sentence Improvement Test
  8. One word Substitution
  9. Idioms
  10. Use of articles
  11. Use of prepositions

paper B cover topics such as :

  1. Essay
  2. Letter
  3. Comprehension
  4. Short notes
  5. Story writing

PAPER 4 –
